Members of the JCCHS varsity baseball team visited three of the Birmingham area catholic elementary schools to participate in the National Read Across America Day. The athletes read to students at Our Lady of Sorrows, Our Lady of the Valley and St. Francis Xavier catholic schools.

The players loved the experience, and enjoyed interacting with the students and sharing the love of books. For many of the student-athletes this was a great way to give back to the elementary schools they attended, and to visit with the faculty and staff that were a part of their educational experience.

Thank you to all the principals and teachers that welcomed the JC players onto their campus and into their classrooms. It was a valuable day of service for the team.
